About Canadian French

Canada has the third largest number of French speakers in the world, follow by France  and the Democratic Republic of the Congo.

Native French speakers make up approximately 20% of the Canadian population. French is the same official language as English in Canada. It is also the only official language in the province of Quebec, where 80% of the population speaks French as their first language. There is no standardization among the various versions of Canadian French, but the main one is the Québécois version. Canadian French retains some features of 17th century French and may sound dated to European French speakers.

In this French Open Class, we will understand the difficulties in learning French and have a class demonstration.
