Is Studying in Canada Suitable for Children Treated as "Outcasts" in China?

Today, I received a consultation from a parent in China. The child is currently in fourth grade, and the parents are considering sending him to Canada for middle school. Besides the usual questions about budget and whether the parents can accompany him, we spent time discussing the most crucial issue: Is the education system here truly suitable for this child?

After in-depth communication, I felt deeply saddened. This child has an extremely active mind, but in China's highly homogenized evaluation system, his "difference" has not been protected; instead, it has attracted prejudice and even bullying. He is becoming increasingly insecure and even afraid to express ideas different from others for fear of being treated as an "outcast".

In Canada, public elementary schools generally have very little homework, making it a relaxed experience, and there are also excellent private schools to choose from. But changing the environment is only the first step. What these children labeled as "outcasts" truly need is not easier homework, but a sense of security—being allowed and accepted.
